About the compound

Matrixyl is a palmitoylated version of the pentapeptide Lys-Thr-Thr-Lys-Ser, a sequence taken from the C-terminal propeptide of type I collagen. The palmitoyl group increases lipophilicity, which is why it is favoured in formulation and skin-model research.

Supplied as a lyophilized powder. The compound is frequently studied alongside signal peptides such as argireline and SNAP-8.
