About the compound

Melanotan I is a synthetic analogue of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone in which norleucine and D-phenylalanine substitutions extend its stability against enzymatic degradation. It is a standard tool compound in melanocortin-1 receptor and pigmentation research.
